Working group 2 "Urban and neighbourhood development"

WG 2 deals with issues relating to the requirements and potential of integrated neighborhood development.

Fields of action

The working group has defined three fields of action, which will be analysed in greater depth:

  1. Building for the common good in the redensification process:
The aim here is to understand existing structures in the neighbourhood and how organisational and cooperation opportunities can be promoted between the stakeholders. Ecological and climate aspects are also considered here.

  2. Resource activation: Land, living space, stakeholders, residents and neighbourhood:
This field of action explores how urban planning and land policy instruments can be combined to activate land resources and optimize housing distribution. Additionally, it considers possible participation formats for various stakeholders in the neighborhood context and how they can be effectively engaged.

  3. Intelligent rebuilding solutions:
The focus is on the potential of flexible housing models and adapting to evolving usage needs. It is also considering how integrated solutions can create synergies at neighbourhood level.
